Leonor Rodriguez Prado

Leonor Rodriguez Prado went to be with the Lord on Wednesday January 15, 2025. She was born on February 9, 1936, in Buena Vista, Allende, Nuevo Leon to Pablo Rodriguez Garza and Esther Rodriguez Escamilla. She was preceded in death by her parents, Pablo and Esther; her husband of 46 years, Jose Guadalupe Prado; and her sister, Evangelina Rodriguez.

Leonor was a devoted loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother who dedicated her life to her family and her Church. She was a faithful member of First Baptist Church of Harlingen, TX. She loved her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, and her favorite verse was “John 3:16 – For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life”.

Leonor will be remembered as a very giving person and her smile, hugs, laughter, and faithfulness that touched the lives of all who knew her.

Leonor leaves behind, to cherish her memory, her son Anselmo Prado “Al” (Laura); her daughters Lydia (Rolando), Delia (Dan), Armandina (Frank), Lupita (Oziel), Mary (Ruben), and Esther (David). Her legacy continues through her 21 grandchildren, and 27 great grandchildren. She is also survived by her sister, Amelia Rodriguez; her brother Carlos Rodriguez (Chela), and her many nephews, nieces, extended family members, and friends who will forever hold her in their hearts.

Visitation will take place on Thursday, January 23, 2025, from 1:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at Buck Ashcraft San Benito Funeral Home. Funeral service will be held Friday, January 24, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. at First Baptist Church, 501 E. Van Buren Ave, Harlingen, Tx 78550. Following the service, Leonor will be laid to rest at Restlawn Memorial Park, 14166 US-83 BUS, La Feria, TX 78559.
