Leonardo Yzaguirre, Sr.

San Benito, TX- Leonardo Yzaguirre, Sr. left to be with the Lord on Saturday, November 24, 2012 at the age of 84 at Harlingen Medical Center surrounded by his loving family. He was a lifelong resident of San Benito and was known to wave from his porch to family and friends. He was a very generous and helpful man to everyone he met. He was a huge Dallas Cowboy fan. He will be greatly missed.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Francisco Yzaguirre and Marcos Yzaguirre..
He leaves behind his beloved wife of 64 years, Ninfa Yzaguirre; his seven children, Gloria (Mingo) Cortez, Leo Jr. (Diana) Yzaguirre, Frank (Chris) Yzaguirre, John (Letty) Yzaguirre, Noemi (Jaime) Palomino, Gracie Yzaguirre and Jerry (JoAnn) Yzaguirre; he was loved dearly by his 25 grandchildren, 27 great grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, November 25, 2012 from 1:00 P.M. to 9:00 P.M with the Holy Rosary to be prayed at 7:00 P.M. at San Benito Funeral Home.
The funeral precession will depart San Benito Funeral Home on Monday, November 26, 2012 at 9:30 A.M. for a 10:00 A.M. Mass of Christian Burial at St. Benedict Catholic Church with Deacon Manuel Sanchez as celebrant. Interment will follow at Mont Meta Memorial Park
