Leonard Ernest Graef

Mr. Leonard Ernest Graef “Sambo” passed away December 3rd, 2017 in Harlingen, TX due to complications resulting from Alzheimer’s Disease.
He is survived by 3 children, Leonard C., of Green Bay, WI, Franklin C of Abrams, WI & Theresa “Tee” Shaffer of Harlingen, TX; 4 grandchildren, Karey Ann Kempka Tachick, Stacey Lynn Kempka Greiner, Robert Graef & Haley Graef; 3 great-grandchildren, Brea Ann Borchert, Randi Jean Tachick & Alivia Raeann Greiner all of WI.
Pre-deceasing Mr. Graef are his wife Violet, daughter Julie Ann Kempka, and 2 brothers Vincent & Francis Graef. Mr. Graef is also survived by 2 sisters, Joanne Stone of Superior, WI & Theresa Lambert of Manitowoc, WI, his partner of many years Mrs. Edith Schultz and and many nieces and nephews.
Originally from Oconto, WI, Mr. Graef resided with his family in Green Bay, WI for many years as well as in Crooked Lake, WI. In later years he and Edith spent their winters in La Feria, TX.
Mr. Graef was a loved and respected man by all who have had the honor to have met him, he was deeply loved and will be greatly missed.
