Lenore Rose Renneker, 83, passed away on Monday, August 9, 2010 at Retama Manor Nursing Home. She was born on May 15, 1927 in Harlingen, TX
Lenore worked for Southwestern Bell as a telephone operator and as an engineering clerk for 28 years. She was an avid square and round dancer and a member of the Sunny Squares Club. She was also a member of the Telephone Pioneers of America and a lifelong member of St. Anthony’s Catholic Church. Lenore will be greatly missed by those who knew and loved her.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Dennis and Minniefred Hencerling and by her brother, Aderon Hencerling.
She is survived by her daughters, Jackie Warner (Larry), Winnie Renneker (Rich), son John (Nancy) Renneker; grandchildren Aaron (Beckie) Warner, Michael (Lisa) Warner, Jennifer (Klay) Price, Angela Snaples, Jacque (Tony) Janson, Brian Renneker and by 9 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her dear friend Esmeralda Salinas.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, August 12, 2010 from 12 p.m. to 9 p.m. with family present from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. and the rosary will be prayed at 7 p.m. at the funeral home.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, August 13, 2010, 1 p.m., at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church in Harlingen with Father Tom Pincelli as celebrant. Interment will follow at Mont Meta Memorial Park in San Benito.
Pallbearers are Aaron Warner, Michael Warner, Brian Renneker, John B. Scogin, Larry Langham and Emilio Leos. Honorary pallbearer is J.W. Scogin.
