Lee Franklin Webb, 85, passed away peacefully at his residence in Harlingen, Saturday evening, April 14, 2007.
Lee is survived by his devoted wife of 64 years, Gerry Webb of Harlingen, TX; his two sons, Gerald Webb and wife, Virginia of Lees Summit, MO and Dahling Webb and wife, Leslye of Sacramento, CA; 8 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren.
Lee was born in Johnston City, IL on February 22, 1922. He and his family resided in Independence, MO for 42 years while spending winters in South Texas for 27 years and then moving permanently to Harlingen in 2004. He served honorably in the U.S. Navy during World War II and graduated from the University of Missouri.
Lee had an endearing personality, characterized by his loving gentle nature, his intelligence, quick wit and his love for telling joke’s brought laughter to all who knew him.
A memorial celebration of his life will be held at the Dixieland Mobile Home Park in Harlingen, TX at a future date.
In lieu of flowers the family request that memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society or to a charity of choice.
