Leah Mae Wick, age 90, went to her eternal home with Jesus on Wednesday, November 10, 2010. Leah was born to Mr. and Mrs. Bassett Taylor on August 10, 1920 in Mercedes, Texas.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Steve, her infant son, Gene Raymond, her brothers Elkin and Sonny Taylor and her parents.
Leah was a loving wife, mother and grandmother and was loved by all who knew her, her life of faith was a great testimony to all. She took pleasure in gardening, crocheting and cooking for family and friends. Always thinking of others first, she gave of herself freely. Leah will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
She is survived by her three children, Raymond E. Wick, Sr. and wife Sylvia of Houston, TX, Stephen James Wick, Jr. and wife Ruth of Indiana, Betty Anderson and husband Bob of Combes, TX, 11 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren, and 12 great great grandchildren, who....."LOVE YOU MORE".
A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, November 13, 2010 at Mont Meta Memorial Park. A celebration of her life will be held at 4:00 p.m., Saturday, November 13, 2010 at First Baptist Church, Combes, TX.
