Lazara Rosenbaum

Mrs. Lazara  “Sara” Rosenbaum, 88, of San Benito went to be with her Lord and Savior on Thursday, March 1, 2018. Sara was born on December 17, 1929 in Edinburg, Texas. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband Sotero Rosenbaum and her two sons Martin and Rigoberto Rosenbaum.

She leaves behind her sons, Jose Luis (Diana) Rosenbaum, Ricardo Rosenbaum, Joe Rosenbaum, Sotero Jr. (Belia) Rosenbaum, Beto (Dalia) Rosenbaum, Rene Rosenbaum; daughters, Blanca (Leopoldo) Garcia, Nahela (Alfonso+) Maldonado, Janie (Santiago) Casares, Mari (James) Franklin, Carmen (Ino) Hernandez, along with over 40 grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren.

Sara was a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church.  She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. Her sweet and humble disposition was inviting and warm as were her tortillas that she had ready for any visitors that might stop by.  She enjoyed sharing a cup of coffee while spending time with her family and friends on her porch.  Sara taught her children about having faith and the importance of a united family.  She will be greatly missed.

The family will be having public visitations on Saturday, March 3rd from 11:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. with the Holy Rosary to be recited at 7:00 P.M. Visitation will continue on Sunday March 4th from 11:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. with the Holy Rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. at San Benito Funeral Home. Funeral Mass will be 2:00 p.m. Monday, March 5, 2018. at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in La Paloma, Tx.  Interment will follow at the Garcia Cemetery in El Ranchito, Tx.
