Lauren Alexandra Padilla, 22, passed away November 10, 2015 in Harlingen.
Lauren was born March 19, 1993 in Brownsville, Texas to Jamie Putnam Hinojosa and Joe Padilla. She attended Harlingen High School South. Lauren married Ulysses Panyagua. She taught English and also worked at I.C.E. as a telecommunications marketer in Mexico City, D.F. Lauren was a very talented artist. She designed her own tattoos and did some beautiful still life and graphic drawings. She enjoyed art, swimming and loved all animals. Lauren had 2 dogs, 2 cats, a fancy rat, a turtle, an iguana, and a snake.
She is survived by her mother, Jamie Hinojosa; her father Joe Padilla; grandmother, Ann Dubose; sister Ana Christina Padilla; aunts and uncles Laurie & Rey Trevino of San Antonio, Mark and Susan Putnam of Texas and Tennessee; honorary aunt and uncle Cacey Cate and Noe Hernandez; cousins Chase Putnam, Tanner Putman, Ashley Trevino, Chelsea Trevino, Kevin Atkinson, Trevor Putnam, Ryan Putnam and Katie Putnam.
She was preceded in death by her brother, Jason DuBose Weaver, grandfather, James Putnam; paternal grandmother Cruz Padilla and her special friend Lexus Rosales.
Visitation hours will be held Friday, November 13, 2015 from 2:00 pm to 7 pm at Buck Ashcraft Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, November 14, 2015, at 11:00 am, at Buck Ashcraft Funeral Home. Burial will be private.
If you wish to make a donation in lieu of flowers, Lauren was an active member of PETA, so any animal action group would be appropriate.
