Laura Elaine Dougherty, 45, passed away Monday, May 25, 2015 after a short illness.
Laura was born on November 24, 1969 in Manhattan, New York to Dr. Joseph C. Dougherty and Katherine O’Brien Dougherty. She earned a B.A. in Philosophy from Excelsior College in New York.
Laura is survived by her parents Dr. Joseph and Katherine Dougherty of Harlingen, TX; brother, Timothy Dougherty of Harlingen, TX; sister, Suzanne Dougherty of Harlingen, TX; nephews, Brian Arriola of Harlingen, TX and Joseph Dougherty of Woburn, MA and niece, Kaitlyn Dougherty of Yonkers, NY. She was preceded in death by her brother, William (Bill) Dougherty.
Funeral services will be held at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church in Harlingen, 10:00 AM, Friday, May 29, 2015 with Father Larry Klein officiating. Burial will follow at Mont Meta Memorial Park in San Benito.
The family wishes to give a special thanks to Gentiva Hospice and the Spear Home for all their personal care and support.
