Larry Lynn Vincent

Larry "Coach" Vincent, 53, passed away on Friday, July 7, 2017 surrounded by his loving family at his residence in Harlingen. Larry was born on February 29, 1964 in Canutillo, Texas to Larry Dewayne and Wanda Vincent.

Larry was a graduate of Riviera High School and Texas A & I University in Kingsville, Texas. He had a passion for coaching and was a football coach throughout the Coastal Bend and Brownsville. He also was the Athletic Director of Bishop CISD for 2 years and Brooks County ISD for 1 year where he retired from. Larry had many passions besides football and they were BBQ, sports, and relaxing in his recliner!
He is survived by his wife, Veronica Vincent of Harlingen; children, Brianne Vincent of McKinney, TX, Amanda Garza of San Marcos, TX, Anissa Garza of Harlingen, Judy Garza of Johnson City, TN, Noel Lopez of Harlingen, Jacob Lopez of Harlingen; mother, Wanda Vincent of Bishop, TX; siblings, Tony Duncan (Velia) of Kingsville, TX, Lawanda Meek (Foster) of Kingsville, TX, Steven Vincent (Jennifer) of Bishop, TX: others, Mikel Romero, Jordan Scott, and Colt Dewayne Vincent; and numerous cousins. He was preceded in death by his father, Larry Dewayne Vincent.

Visitation hours will be held from 4:00 PM to 9:00 PM, Sunday, July 9, 2017 at Buck Ashcraft Funeral Home with Coach Whitacre and Glen Scholz as special speakers at 7:00 pm.
Funeral services will be held at the St. Paul Lutheran Church, 7:00 PM, Monday, July 10, 2017 with the Rev. Dustin Kear officiating. A reception will follow in the Parish Hall of the church.
The family would like to give a special thanks to the Neuro Staff of Valley Baptist Medical Center in Harlingen, Gloria Garcia and Carol Anguiano of Unlimited Health Care and the nursing staff of Merida Home Health.

Larry will be remembered for his use of many euphemisms, but his two favorites were "Let's go, get after it!" and "If your early your on time, if your on time your late". And lastly, Larry will be remembered as a great guy and A Class Act!
