Harlingen:
Kizzie Ella Curry Gray, 91, left this world to be with her Lord and Savior on Tuesday, August 25, 2009. She was born February 11, 1918 in New Market, Alabama to Luke and Louella Curry. Kizzie married W.J. (Bill) Gray on December 22, 1934.
Kizzie is survived by her son, Harold Gray; daughters, Betty Eilers, Rosemary Strong and Billie Gray; grandchildren, Carl Eilers, Cindy Stephens, Joe David Kilbourn, Tammy McCants and Martie Gray; brother, W.F. (Dub) Curry; sister, Maude Curry Mitchell; eleven great grandchildren; she is also survived by many nieces, nephews and extended family.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband and infant son. Also by her son-in-law, Melvin Eilers, daughter-in-law, Cheryl Card Gray, brothers, Odie Lee Curry, Joe Bill Curry, John Henry Curry and Marion Bill Curry, sisters, Eva Curry Gray, Ora Curry Jacks, Billie Curry and Julie Curry.
Kizzie will be remembered for her generosity, love and caring for others and an exceptional love for life and family.
Visitation hours will be held at Buck Ashcraft Funeral Home on Friday, August 28, 2009 from 12 p.m. to 9 p.m. with the family receiving friends from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.
Graveside services will be held at Harlingen-Combes Cemetery on Saturday, August 29, 2009 at 10 a.m. with Rev. Bob Cole officiating.
The Family would especially like to thank her caregivers, Marina Colorado, Mary Martinez and Pat Diaz and thanks to Sandra Sosa with United Home Health.
