HARLINGEN, TX:
Kevin Scott Wilson, 52, passed away on December 25, 2006 at his residence. He was born May 17, 1954 in San Benito, Texas to Neariol Wilson and Oleta Hamilton Tewell. Kevin graduated from Harlingen High School in 1972 and also attended South West Texas State University in San Marcos. He was a local business owner of Kevin Wilson Nursery & Wholesale. Kevin was a wonderful son, brother, uncle, and friend. He loved spending time with his friends and family and loved running 5 – 10K marathons not only for health reason, but pure pleasure.
Kevin is survived by his mother, Oleta Tewell; brother, Jerry D. Wilson; sister Kelley Wilson; niece, Kristie (Mike) Trejo; nephew, Jerry S. Wilson. Also surviving are aunts, Ruth Samson, Joyce (Richard) Hunter; uncle, Cecil (Claire) Hamilton; and numerous loving cousins, great nephews, and great nieces.
He was preceded in death by his father, Neoriol Wilson.
A Celebration of Life service will be held on Tuesday, January 2, 2007, 3 p.m., at Buck Ashcraft Funeral Home with Rev. Wayne Peck officiating. A private graveside will be held at Raymondville Memorial Cemetery. Kevin was known as the plant man, in his honor the family is requesting that live plants be sent for the service or for those desiring to do so, memorial donations may be made to the Make A Wish Foundation or the Alzheimer’s Foundation.
