Kevin Caldwell Stoll, 28, a counselor for young adults, passed away on March 16, 2008 at his residence in Portland, Oregon.
Kevin was following his dreams of helping others and living life to the fullest. Kevin was born on May 12, 1979 in San Benito, Texas and graduated from Harlingen High School South in 1997. He attended Sam Houston State University after which he moved to California and then Oregon.
Football, music and writing were his passions in this life. He loved to travel and connect with people. Everyone who knew Kevin liked his wry sense of humor and infectious laugh. His presence was always a positive force. He was known affectionately as “the Bolvin” by close family and signed his letters to home with that signature.
Kevin was a kind and gentle soul who loved animals and children. His plans were to be married soon and start his family with the love of his life Jennylyn Dodd.
Kevin is preceded in death by his maternal grandparents Douglas W. and Betty E. McEnery, his beloved aunt Janet Laws.
He is survived by his loving parents Dennis Stoll (Peggy), Emily Cox (Chad) of College Station, paternal grandparents Harry and Fran Stoll, his beloved brother John Stoll (Stephanie), step-sisters Jennifer Tamez and Jessenda Fraga, and Carolyn (Joe) Carrillo; step-brother, Brent (Natsha) Cox; uncle Bruce Stoll, aunt Joan Goetz (Shane), uncle Burt Laws, aunt Gay Dunlap (Jim), cousins Rachel Smith (Zach), Travis Goetz, Brandon Laws, Austin Laws, Roland Stoll (Patty), Dr. Jennifer Dunlap, Nash Dunlap and numerous other cousins and relatives.
Kevin will be dearly missed by all of us. May God Bless. Goodbye our young son, “Bolvin”.
Visitation will be held on Friday, March 21, 2008 from 12 p.m. to 9 p.m. with the family present from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. at Buck Ashcraft Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, March 22, 2008, 10 a.m., at First United Methodist Church in Harlingen. Interment will follow at Restlawn Cemetery in la Feria.
Pallbearers will be Bruce Stoll, Shane Goetz, Burt Laws, John Stoll, Greg Betzen, Chad Cox, Brent Cox and Joe Carrillo.
Honorary pallbearers will be Traylor Cobb, Travis Powell and Eric Van Leeuwen.
