Kenneth Darrell Williams was born September 26, 1939 to John and Alma Williams in Des Moines, IA. He was married to the former Judith Bonham on December 5, 1981. She survives at the home in Harlingen, TX.
After Ken's retirement from Swift Transportation in 2004, he spent winters in Texas and worked for UTXL in the summers. He and Judith moved to Texas in 2008.
Survivors are his wife, Judith, of the home; sons, Terry (Kristi) of Des Moines, IA and Kent (Donna) of Altoona, IA; three step-children, Kenneth (Cindy) Hasbrouck of Harlingen, TX; Annie (Steve) Swanson of Topeka, KS and Jeremy (Misty) Burright of St. Joseph, MO; five grandchildren; fourteen step-grandchildren; two great grandsons; one sister, Pat POrter of Des Moines, IA; two nephews; one niece; and numerous aunts and uncles.
He was preceded in death by both his parents, one niece, and one great granddaughter.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, February 19, 2011 at Park Place Estates Ballroom, located at 5401 W. Business 83 in Harlingen, TX at 2 p.m.
