Kenneth Evans Brown, 47, passed away Friday, October 31, 2014 at Retama Manor Nursing Home in Harlingen, TX. He was born on December 25, 1967 in San Antonio, TX to Carl Evans Brown and Mary Francis Wilkinson Brown.
Kenneth was a graduate of Stockdale High School and afterwards served in the U.S. Navy for 6 years and then the Air Force Reserve for 4 years. He then worked at the Alamo Group in Seguin for 9 years and later as a Principal at the Texas Baptist Christian Academy.
Kenneth moved to the Raymondville, TX area several years ago where he could enjoy fishing and camping. He became an active member of the Central Baptist Church in Harlingen TX. He enjoyed preaching and visiting nursing homes.
He is survived by his wife, Morita Lim Brown; son Jonathan Lim Brown; Brother, Kevin Wayne Brown and wife, Lorry; sisters, Cathy Lynne Moya and husband Victor; Karen Renee Williams and husband James; nephew Tyler Charro; nieces Shauna Brazell and Rebecca Brown. He was preceded in death by his parents, his grandfathers, George Leland Brown and John Henry Wilkinson; and grandmothers Pauline Brown and Fannie Laura Wilkinson.
Funeral services will be held at the Central Baptist Church in Harlingen, TX, 9:00 AM, Tuesday, November 4, 2014. Graveside services follow at the Steele Branch Cemetery in Stockdale, TX at 4:00 PM.
The family would like to thank the nurses and staff at Retama Manor Nursing Home in Harlingen, TX for their excellent care and concern for Kenneth during his stay at the facility.
