Kathryn (Cox) Pool, 77, went home to be with Jesus surrounded by her loving family on Thursday, May 21, 2015.
Kathryn was born on August 5, 1937 in Killeen, Texas to Dee Sterling Cox and Grace Redmond Cox. She was a graduate of La Feria High School and a very much loved member of the First Baptist Church in Combes
Kathryn is survived by her loving husband, Charles A. Pool, whom she had be happily been married to for 59 years; sister, Lea Haynie of Belen, NM; brothers, Lonnie Cox (Dora) of Garden City, Idaho, Scott Aulds (Cathy) of Richmond, TX and Steve Aulds of Friendswood, TX; daughter, Pam Kleiser (Steve) of San Antonio, TX; son, Michael Pool (Michelle) of Harlingen; grandchildren, Jesse Pool (Celeste), Hunter Pool, Joshua Kleiser, Katie Beth Kleiser and a great granddaughter due to arrive in September. She is also survived by many beloved nieces, nephews and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, sister, Louise Frizzell; brother, Dee Cox; sister, Alice Aulds; sister, Winnie Altum and surrogate parents, Minnie Lee and Ruben Aulds.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM, Sunday, May 24, 2015 at Buck Ashcraft Funeral Home.
A memorial service celebrating the Life of Kathryn will be held at the First Baptist Church in Combes, 10:30 AM, Monday, May 25, 2015 with the Rev. Steve Wiest officiating.
In lieu of flowers the family has requested that those desiring to do so may make donations to the First Baptist Church-Combes, P.O. Box 598, Combes, TX 78535.
