Harlingen:
Kathryn H. Fankhauser, 93, passed away Sunday, October 3, 2010 at her residence in Harlingen.
Kathryn was born June 29, 1917 in Kansas City, KS to Floyd and Mabel Henderson.  She moved to the Valley in 1936, where she lived in Mission for several years before settling in Harlingen.  She worked several jobs in the area with her last being at Tri Pak Machinery in Harlingen where she was the office manager for over 25 years.  She retired from there in 1998 to care for her family and enjoy her other interests which were gardening, cooking and playing the piano.
Kathryn is survived by five children; daughters, Charlsie Haynes (Henry),  Judy Latham (Lee), Patsy Moore (Gary), Mary Hill (Walter); and son, Charles Fankhauser, Jr.; grandchildren, Jason Wilcox (Leah), Justin Haynes, Paul Moncus (Kim), Jaime Moncus (Jennifer), Melanie Moore Stanford, Angela Lincoln (Bryan), Keith Moore (Kristen), Christie Hill, Kevin Hill (Amanda) and Walter Hill (Jessie); ten special great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Charles Fankhauser, Sr., daughter, Nina Wilcox and grandchildren, Trent Wilcox and Raegan Wilcox.
Graveside services only will be held at Mont Meta Memorial Park, 10:00 AM, Tuesday, October 5, 2010.
Those desiring to do so may make memorial donations to the charity of choice.
