Karl M. Gibbon Jr.

Karl Malcolm (Mac) Gibbon, Jr., passed away Friday, November 17, 2017 in Harlingen.
Mac was born in Chicago, IL to Karl M., and Berenice Gibbon, Sr. He later moved with his parents and siblings to Harlingen, TX where he attended school and graduated from Harlingen High School. After high school he attended and graduated from The University of Texas in Austin, TX. He then attended Houston College of Law (F/K/A, South Texas College of Law) in Houston, TX where he attained his law degree. He then returned home to Harlingen and began working with the law firm of Gibbon, Gibbon & Sheline. He enjoyed golf and was a Past President of the Life Begins @ 40 Golf Tournament held every year at the Harlingen Country Club. He also proudly served his country in the United States Army.
Mac is survived by his wife, Patsy of Harlingen; step-son, Thomas Jennings, Jr. of Largo Vista, TX; siblings, Barbara (Bruce) Hogen of Hot Springs, AR and Johanna Gibbon of Irvine, CA; three grandchildren, Michael (Julie) Gonzalez of Phoenix, AZ, Patrick Jennings of Phoenix, AZ and Lacey Jennings of College Station, TX; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents, sister, Ann Dowdy and step-daughter, Kelley Jennings.

Mac will be remembered for his love of his family, traveling, golf and for going to UT Longhorn football games. He will be greatly missed.

As per Mac's wishes no services will be held.
