Laguna Vista:
Julie Marie Wells, 50 of Laguna Vista passed away at her home on Sunday, February 15, 2009 surrounded by her loving family and friends after her 11 year battle with breast cancer.
Born February 3, 1959, Julie was a graduate of Port Isabel High School and spent most of her life in the Laguna Madre Area where she raised her beautiful daughter Danielle (Dylan) Shiree Krzywonski of Laguna Vista. Julie is survived by her loving mother Barbara Wells of Port Isabel, a son Brook (Megan) Prein and her adored granddaughter Brynna Prein of Dallas, Texas.
Other survivors are her sister Sari (Sondra) Leigh of Indian Lake, four brothers, Mark Thornton of Bayview, Woodford (Suzette) Thornton of Hawaii, Vere (Betty) Wells of Port Isabel and Doyle (Dolores) Wells, III of South Padre Island. Other survivors include numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends including 2 of her favorite cousins, Doug Guth and Joy Hartung.
Julie was preceded in death by her father, Doyle F. (Junior) Wells and daughter Barbara Nicole Peterson.
Services are scheduled for Wednesday, February 18th, 2009 at St. Andrews Episcopal Church located at Yturria & North Shore, Port Isabel, TX at 2:00 p.m. with a reception to follow.
