San Benito, TX: Julian C. Zapata, Sr., 70, of San Benito, TX passed away Monday, February 11, 2013 in San Benito.
He is preceded in death by his father, Alfonso Zapata; and his mother, Paulita Zapata.
Julian is survived by her loving wife of 45 years, Juanita C. Zapata; his children, Diana, Alfonso, Julian, Jr., Oscar and Jorge Zapata; his grandchildren, Thomas, Jose, Geno, Israel, Julianne, and Ashley; his great grandchild, Naiellie: his siblings, Guadalupe Z. Martinez, Martin Zapata, Sr., and Irma Fonseca; along with numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, February 13, 2013 from 10:00 A.M. to 9:00 P.M. with a Holy Rosary recited at 7:00 P.M. at San Benito Funeral Home.
The funeral precession will depart San Benito Funeral Home on Thursday, February 14, 2013 at 10:30 A.M. for a 11:00 A.M. Funeral Mass at Our Lady Queen of the Universe Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Mont Meta Memorial Park.
Serving as pallbearers will be Alfonso Zapata, Julian Zapata, Jr., Oscar Zapata, Jorge Zapata, Thomas James Ayala, Rene Flores, and Ruben Fonseca.
