SAN BENITO, TX. – Juanita Z. Montez, age 86, born on June 24, 1927, entered into eternal rest on Friday, May 30, 2014 at Valley Baptist Medical Center in Harlingen.
She is preceded in death by her dear parents, Enrique and Micaela Zepeda; by her loving husband, Miguel Montez; by her children Mateo Montez, Miguel Montez, Jr., Leticia Perez, and Felipa Cervantez; and by her brothers Domingo Trinidad and Isidoro Reza.
Left behind to cherish the many memories of Juanita are her children Alicia Torres, Gloria Ortiz, Francisco Montez, Raquel (Pablo) Rojas, Ruben (Lydia) Montez, Adelaida Vargas, Jorge Luis (Maria Elena) Montez, Mario Z. (Raquel) Montez, Anna Maria (Fred) Pena, and Juann Montez. Also surviving Juanita are her 43, adoring grandchildren.
Visitation will be held today, Monday, June 2, 2014, between the hours of 10:00 A.M. and 9:00 P.M., with a recitation of the holy rosary scheduled for seven o’clock Monday evening.
Funeral services will take place on Tuesday, June 3, 2014, departing the San Benito Funeral Home Chapel at 9:30 A.M. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at the hour of ten o’clock in the morning at St. Theresa Catholic Church. Committal services will then follow at Mont Meta Memorial Park in San Benito.
