Juan F. Gonzalez, Jr.

Juan F. Gonzalez Jr., 76, peacefully passed away April 13, 2023. He was born to the late Juan F. Gonzalez, Sr. and Dominga Gutierrez Gonzalez on March 22, 1947 in Rio Hondo, Texas.

He proudly served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. Juan retired from Exxon Refinery in Baytown, Texas after 22 years of dedicated service.

Juan is preceded in death by his son, Nick Gonzalez; his parents, Juan F. and Dominga G. Gonzalez; and his brother, Eleazar Gonzalez.

Left to treasure Juan’s memory is his loving wife, Elisa Gonzalez; his daughter, Rosa (Juan) Martinez; grandchildren, Elisa M. Gonzalez, Raymond Martinez, Quentin Perez, Briza Martinez, Amarina Gonzalez; great-grandson, Ethan Gonzalez; sister, Maria Luisa (Narciso) Juarez; and numerous nieces and nephews.

The Gonzalez family will receive relatives and friends Friday, April 21, 2023 from 1:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at Buck Ashcraft San Benito Funeral Home. The American Vietnam Veterans Chapter One Honor Guard will render military honors at 6:30 p.m. followed by a memorial service.
