HARLINGEN, TX. – Juan David Pena, age 34, entered into the glory of his eternal life on Wednesday, October 29, 2014 at Valley Baptist Medical Center in Brownsville, Texas.
He is preceded in death by his father, Pablo Pena, Sr.; daughter, Ida P. Gonzalez; brother, Raymond Pena; and paternal grandparents Ernesto and Matilde Pena.
Juan is survived by his loving mother, Oralia R. Pena; siblings Isabel Zepeda (Alex, Sr.), Pablo Pena, Jr. (JoAnna), and Irene Pecina (Aaron, Sr.); and maternal grandparents, Dominga and Felipe Reyes. He is also survived by 15 nieces and nephews, as well as numerous aunts and uncles.
Visitation will be held today, Sunday, November 2, 2014, between the hours of 10:00 A.M. and 9:00 P.M., with a recitation of the holy rosary scheduled for seven o’clock Sunday evening.
Funeral services will take place on Monday, November 3, 2014, departing the San Benito Funeral Home Chapel at 9:40 A.M. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at the hour of ten o’clock in the morning, at St. Theresa Catholic Church in San Benito. Committal services will then follow at Mont Meta Memorial Park.
Pallbearers will be Alex Zepeda, Jr., Antonio Pena, Manuel Pena, Aaron Pecina, Keith Cooper, Julian Pena, and Ramiro Garcia. Pablo Pena III, Jonathan Garcia, Sebastian Pena, Joseph Pena, Anthony Zepeda, Isaac Zepeda, Pablo Pecina, and Aaron Pecina, Jr. will serve as honorary pallbearers.
