Juan Antonio Ovalle 66, passed away peacefully in Houston, Texas. He was born to Antonio and Minerva Ovalle on December 31, 1956 in Harlingen, Texas.
Juan was a good friend to all the family from the youngest to the oldest and everyone in-between. He was born with an innate drive to help anyone in need. He learned very early in life how to be a hard worker. His father noticed that as a child he would take the initiative to learn what was needed out in the work fields. From the age of eight years old and on, he would drive the tractors as needed, hitched the trailers to the tractor, drive his father’s work truck and deliver what was needed at the warehouse and the ranch, etc. Juan followed his father’s footsteps and was a big part in helping the family and the ranch owners fulfill each other’s expectations in those days.
As an adult Juan was a self-learned and skilled welder, he was also very inventive. He designed and welded a stand which allowed for an easier and faster method that the other shop welders would use to finish up last touches to their work. His boss acknowledged the ideas Juan brought to the manufacturing company.
He retired after many years of working in the welding field. After retirement he learned typing, the use of Microsoft Word, the designing of labels and the computer apps. After the loss of his father, Juan took it upon himself to follow through, bringing income for the rest of the family.
What Juan enjoyed the most was when he was able to cherish and love all the children around him. Starting from the oldest, Amador Nieto Jr. to the youngest, Alexander Ira Montemayor. With his good heart he normally made sure the little children and babies that were growing in the family all had fun and made memories for themselves over the years.
Juan Antonio is preceded in death by his parents, Antonio Ovalle and Minerva Gonzalez and his sister, Eva Nilo Oballe.
Left to treasure Juan’s memory is his loving family: sisters, Lupe Oballe Nieto (Amador), Manuela Oballe Montemayor (Reynaldo) and Martina Oballe; his nephews and nieces, Amador Nieto, Anthony Nieto, Amanda Nieto and Gabriel Montemayor; his great nephews and nieces, Tristan Nieto, Alex Nieto, Ariana Alicia Montemayor and Alexander Ira Montemayor.
The Ovalle and Oballe families are all grateful for all who have come to respect our loving brother, son and friend - Juan Antonio Ovalle, as his spirit and soul transition to the other side. He will certainly be missed, may his body rest in peace in our realm and may he enjoy the new realm where he is now, which is in heaven.
