Juan Ramon Gonzalez

Juan Ramon Gonzalez, 46, of San Benito, TX passed away, surrounded by his family, on July 24, 2017 due to cardiac arrest. Born in Monterrey, MX to Ramon and Lucila Gonzalez, he lived most of his life in Mission and San Benito, TX.

Juan is survived by his loving wife Maria I. Gonzalez, his daughters Jennifer M. Gonzalez (son-in-law, Joel) and Joanna L. Gonzalez, his sons Juan J. Gonzalez (daughter-in-law, Lisa) and Jacob R. Gonzalez (daughter-in-law, Ireland), and his four grandchildren Arabella J. Gonzalez, Catalina E. Gonzalez, Ian T. Gonzalez, and Ryan M. Gonzalez. He is survived by his father, Ramon Gonzalez and is preceded in death by his mother, Lucila A. Machado de Gonzalez.

Juan was dedicated to his job of 15 years and devoted all his time to his family and friends. He was an active member of the softball community involving his daughter, Joanna for the past 10 years. We will always remember how he would start barking for the Lady Greyhounds during softball games. In his extra time, he enjoyed cooking out with his family and friends while watching the latest sporting event. Everyone who knew Juan knows how he would light up the room with his jokes and sense of humor, even if they didn’t want to hear it. He made an impact on every person he met, and now we all have a memory of him to hold onto forever.

Visitation will be held at San Benito Funeral Home from 12:00 pm to 9:00 pm on Friday, July 28, 2017, with a rosary to be held at 7:00 pm. Visitation will continue on into Saturday from 8:00 am to 11:00 am, followed by a mass to be held at Our Lady Queen of the Universe at 1:00 pm. Burial to follow at Mont Meta Memorial Park in San Benito. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to San Benito Funeral Home, 1400 W. Business 77, San Benito, (956)361-9192
