Joyce A. Poulter, 73, passed away Thursday, April 29, 2010 at Valley Baptist Medical Center in Harlingen, TX.
Joyce was born May 12, 1936 in St. Paul, MN to Sylvester and Leona Trebesh. In the early 1950’s Joyce moved to Cumberland, WI and graduated from Cumberland High School.
On November 12, 1955, Joyce married Richard Poulter and they lived in many areas around the country due to Richard being in the military. After retirement they became winter visitors to the Valley and in 2003 became residents of La Feria. She was a member of t. John’s Lutheran Church in San Benito, TX.
Joyce is survived by her husband, Richard of La Feria, TX; son, Terry R. (Arlene) Poulter of Rice Lake, WI; daughter, Amy Conner of Austin, TX; grandchildren, Joshua, Matthew, Seth, Sarah, David, and Emily. She was preceded in death by son, Larry David Poulter and brother, Earl Trebesh.
Visitation hours were held from 12:00 PM to 9:00 PM with the family receiving friends from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM, Thursday, May 6, 2010 at the funeral home.
Funeral services were held at Buck Ashcraft Funeral Home, 3:00 PM, Friday, May 7, 2010 with the Rev. Marcus Mueller officiating. Burial was held at Ft. Sam Houston National Cemetery in San Antonio, TX.
