Joyce (Fritz) Magaro

Joyce Fritz Magaro, 84, peacefully passed from this life January 31, 2022. She was born September 1, 1937 to the late Arley Fritz and Johnnie Mae Greer Fritz in Ganado, Texas.

Joyce was a valued employee of Lila Jean’s where she was a bookkeeper until her retirement.  In her leisure time, she enjoyed cooking, gardening, watching “The Young and the Restless”, and reading her Bible.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Sam P. Magaro; her son, Jude Joseph Magaro; and her parents, Arley and Johnnie Mae G. Fritz.

Left to treasure Joyce’s memory are her children, Jeremiah (Sherry) Magaro and Lisa Magaro; grandchildren, Dylan, Molly, Zachary, Jude, and Noah; great-grandchildren, Vera, Zane, Kayson, and Bam; and her close friends, Sally Manning, Judy, and Ella.

Joyce’s relatives and friends will gather for a memorial service on Sunday, February 6, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. at Buck Ashcraft San Benito Funeral Home. (Click the link below to view a live-stream of the memorial service.)

Following the service there will be a memorial gathering from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at Chyann’s Specialty Café, 110 East Jackson Ave. in Harlingen.
