Joyce O. Kobeck, 85, passed away on Saturday, April 24, 2010 at La Hacienda Nursing Home in Harlingen.
Joyce was born March 25, 1925 in Davidson, OK to Truman and Birtie Keyes. She was raised in the Santa Rosa area and graduated from Santa Rosa High School. She worked with several Valley Real Estate Companies as a realtor and most recently retired from Mason & Co. Realtors in Harlingen. She was a long time member of the First United Methodist Church in San Benito and had great interest in gardening and traveling.
Joyce is survived by daughter, Suzanne Wilson and husband, Ulysis, grandchildren, T.J. Hensley, Larissa Zikmanis and husband, Scott, Michael Kobeck and wife, Christine, Karen Brooks and husband, Stuart, sister, Charlotte Keyes Loose and husband, Val, seven great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, T.W. and Birtie Keyes; husband, Bill Kobeck; son, Richard Michael Kobeck and sister, Joan Davis.
Graveside services only will be held at Mont Meta Memorial Park on Thursday, April 29, 2010 at 2 p.m. with the Rev. Chris Hall officiating.
Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of the donor’s choice.
