Joy R. Servos, 79, passed away September 19, 2008 at Golden Palms Nursing Center.
Joy was born August 17, 1929 in Raymondville, TX to George and Buena Rogers.
She was a graduate of Edinburg High School in 1946. Joy was a member of the First Christian Church in Harlingen and was active in Women’s work, Sunday school and worship.  She was active in Austin Elementary School and was Past PTA President.
Joy was self employed. She collected and sold antique glass.  She was also a license appraiser.  She enjoyed sewing and her specialty was embroidered vests.
She is survived by her husband of 59 years, James Servos; her son, Jerry (Kristie) Servos of Athens, Texas; one grandson, Wesley Servos also of Athens, TX; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Memorial services will be held at Buck Ashcraft Funeral Home on Saturday, September 27, 2008 at 11 a.m. with Rev. Mark Coppins, officiating.
