Harlingen, TX- Joshua Elizondo was born to Oscar and Janie G. Elizondo on the 28th of September 1974 in Harlingen, Texas. He attended Harlingen High School and San Benito High School and was a 1992 SBHS graduate. Joshua Studied at Texas State Technical Institute in Harlingen. His favorite pastime was spending quality time with his dad and brother while bowling competitively. Joshua was a certified professional bowler. Josh passed away Sunday evening, October 28, 2012 at Valley Baptist Medical Center in Harlingen.
He is preceded in death by his mother, Janie G. Elizondo; his uncle, George Gonzales; and his grandparents, Juan and Lupita Gonzales and Monico and Margarita Elizondo.
Josh is survived by his dad, Oscar Elizondo; his brother, Eli (Susana) Elizondo; uncle and aunt, Joe and Elaine Elizondo with cousins, Jason, Brian and Sara Marie Elizondo; uncle and aunt, Mario and Rosa G. Garcia with cousins, Lorena Garcia, Laura Vel Garcia, Rick Garcia, and Lysandra Garcia; uncle and aunt, Martin and Sylvia Reza with cousins, Elizabeth Reza and Victoria Salato from Houston, TX; uncle and aunt, Tim and Irma Bramlett with cousins Kirby Fernandez, Ryan Lugo and Marc Fernandez; uncle and aunt, Danny and Terry Gonzales with cousins, Danielle Gonzales; and cousin, George Gonzales from Reno, Nevada.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, November 1, 2012 from 1:00 P.M. to 9:00 P.M. with the Holy Rosary to be prayed at 7:00 P.M. at San Benito Funeral Home.
The funeral procession will depart San Benito Funeral Home on Friday, November 2, 2012 at 9:30 A.M. for a 10:00 A.M. Mass of Christian Burial at St. Benedict Catholic Church with Father Ignacio Luna officiating. Interment will follow at Restlawn Memorial Park in La Feria.
Pallbearers will be Joe Elizondo, Danny Gonzales, Rick Garcia, Marc Fernandez, Jaime Juarez and Mac Franklin; honorary pallbearers are Jason Elizondo and Brian Elizondo.
