Joseph M. Sitton

Joseph Michael Sitton, 34, of Harlingen was set free from the bondage of life-long quadriplegic cerebral palsy on December 23, 2022 during complications of surgery. He was born March 21, 1988 in San Benito, Texas to Lester and Mary Lou (Carden) Sitton.

Joseph is survived by his mother, Mary Lou Sitton; his brothers, Joshua and David; Aunt Judy and Uncle Mike Nations of Conroe; Aunt Carol and Uncle Mike Woodward of Austin; stepfather, Ken Marcum; and caregiver of 12 years, Delia Zeron. Joseph is also survived by his parental aunts and uncles; cousins of Winnebago, Illinois; and cousins of Texas.

He was preceded in death by his father, Lester; paternal grandparents, David and Dorothy Sitton; and maternal grandparents, Wayne and Marjorie Carden.

Joseph was a proud graduate of Harlingen High School, Class of 2011.

A celebration of Joseph’s life will be held Saturday, January 7, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. at Buck Ashcraft San Benito Funeral Home.

Joseph will always be remembered for his infectious smile and beautiful blue eyes.
