Josefina A. (Aguirre) Gonzalez

Josefina A. González passed peacefully from this life on April 22, 2021 at the age of eighty-five.  She was born to the late Anselmo Aguirre and Severiana Moreno Aguirre on March 5, 1936 in San Benito, Texas.

She attended San Benito schools and was a homemaker.  In her leisure time, she enjoyed playing Chalupa, fishing, and most especially, visiting with family and friends.

Josefina was preceded in death by her husband, Juan F. González; daughter, Estela González Muñiz; and her parents, Anselmo and Severiana M. Aguirre.

She is survived by her children, Natividad (Carlos) Recio, Juan (Svetlana) González, Jr., Raúl (Sandra) González, Roman (Rosa) González, and Andrew González.  Also left to treasure Josefina’s memory are her eleven grandchildren, thirteen great-grandchildren, and her faithful companions, her dogs Paco and Daisy.  She was of the Catholic faith and a member of St. Theresa Catholic Church.

The González family wishes to thank the staff at Valley Baptist Medical Center for their outstanding care and attention.

Visitation will take place on Friday, April 30, 2021 from 3:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. A prayer service will begin Friday evening at 7 o’clock. (Click the link below to view a live-stream of the prayer service.) Funeral services for Josefina A. Gonzalez will conclude on Friday evening.
