San Benito, TX – Josefina Ontiveros Rodriguez, 80, was born on December 4, 1931 in San Benito, TX passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Tuesday, August 7, 2012.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Roman Rodriguez, Sr.; her mother, Alejandra Ontiveros; her father, Natividad Ontiveros, Sr.; and her sister, Juanita De La Cruz.
Josefina is survived by her 5 children, Hilda (Jaime, Sr.) Luna, Roman Jr. (Noemi) Rodriguez, Ruben (Maggie) Rodriguez, Ricardo (Cristy) Rodriguez, and David (Francis) Rodriguez; 12 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren and 2 on the way; her 2 sisters, Micaela Garza and Irma Garcia; a step sister, Rafaela Meza; and 4 brothers, Natividad Ontiveros, Jose Ontiveros, Gilberto Ontiveros, and Tomas Ontiveros.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, August 8, 2012 from 10:00 A.M. to 9:00 P.M with the Holy Rosary to be prayed at 7:00 P.M. at San Benito Funeral Home.
The funeral precession will depart San Benito Funeral Home on Thursday, August 9, 2012 at 9:30 A.M. for a 10:00 A.M. Funeral Mass at St. Benedict Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Mont Meta Memorial Park in San Benito.
Pallbearers will be Roman Rodriguez, Ruben Rodriguez, Ricardo Rodriguez, David Rodriguez, Jaime Luna, Sr. and Jaime Luna, Jr.; honorary pallbearers will be Javier Luna, Roman Justin Rodriguez, and Jose Roman Rodriguez.
The family would like to express a special Thank You to Janie Perez and the staff of Odyssey Healthcare for the great care that was given to our mother.
