San Benito, TX. - Josefina B. Cortez, born March 19, 1937, died Monday October 5, 2015 at her residence. She was 78.
She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, brothers , sisters, and two children Mary Luisa Hernandez and Carlos Cortez Sr.
Josefina is survived by her children: Guadalupe Valdovinos (Luis), Eduardo Cortez Sr (Melba), Tomas Cortez Jr, and Blanca Cortez. 18 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren; 15 brothers and sisters.
Visitation will be held at 3:00P.M. to 9:00P.M. on Thursday, October 8, 2015, with a prayer Service at 7:00P.M. in the San Benito Funeral Home.
A Funeral Service will take place 2:00P.M. Friday, October 9, 2015 at Cristo Es La Roca Church, 101 North Williams Rd., San Benito, Texas 78586.
Committal Services will then follow at Mont Meta Memorial Park, San Benito, Texas 78586
Her pallbearers will be Tomas Cortez Jr, Javier Abrego, Eduardo Cortez Jr, Eduardo Cortez Sr , Tomas Cortez III, Carlos Cortez Jr, and Jose Pedro Cortez.
