Jose Salvador Farias

Jose Salvador Farias, 67, passed away peacefully January 27, 2025, in Harlingen, Texas. Jose was born September 18, 1957, in Matamoros, Tamaulipas, Mexico to Salvador Farias and Velia V. Farias.

A devoted member of Lirio de los Valles Church, Jose consistently contributed to church activities and fundraisers, reflecting his dedication to his faith and community.

Jose is preceded in death by his father, Salvador Farias, and his brothers, Tomas and Miguel Angel Farias. He is survived by his loving mother, Velia V. Farias and his siblings, Noemi (Francisco) Contreras, Nelly (Mario) Rada, Arnoldo (Diana) Farias, Evelia (Keith) Crampton, Petra (Alberto) Macias, Zoila M Tapia, Ismael (Mari Cruz) Farias, and Gerardo (Patricia) Farias. He leaves a lasting legacy of love that includes 29 nieces and nephews, along with 35 great nieces and great nephews.

The Farias family wishes to extend their heartfelt gratitude to Nelly Rada, Mario Rada, and family for their unwavering support and care, as well as to Maricela Martinez for her years of dedication.

The Farias family will receive friends and relatives on Thursday, January 30, 2025, from 1:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. A prayer service will begin at 7 o’clock Thursday evening. A funeral service will take place Friday, January 31, 2025, at 1:00 p.m., at Lirio de los Valles Church. Following the service Jose will be laid to rest at Mont Meta Memorial Park.

Honored to serve as pallbearers are Ismael Farias, Jerry Farias, and Alberto Macias.
