Jose Lopez, Jr.

Jose Lopez, Jr., 41, of San Benito, Texas, entered the Heavenly gates on Tuesday, October 2, 2018 at 5:40 AM with close family members by his side.

Jose, a.k.a., Chicago Bull, was a warrior and truly fought hard till the end.  In life, he battled many tribulations and even though he had so many things working against him, he always managed to make everyone around him laugh.  He loved to play jokes, especially jokes that scared the life out of us.

He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, maternal grandmother, two aunts, and a niece.

Left to cherish his memory are his loving parents, Jose and Celia Lopez; daughter, Dayna Lopez; twelve siblings, Juan (LaToya) Lopez, Maria (Jesse Zambrano) Lopez, Miguel Lopez, Luz Elena (Arturo Hernandez) Lopez, Toribio Lopez, David (Judith Ensinia) Lopez, Donna (Ricardo Medrano, Jr.) Lopez, Martha (Timoteo) Ventura, Rosalinda Lara, Melba Losoya, Jose Luis (Yolanda) Gonzalez, Irma Gonzalez; nephews and nieces, Shawn Rowles, Natalia Lopez, Jazmin Lopez, Armando Alonzo, Jr., Abraham Alonzo, April Alonzo, Anthony Lopez, Caeli Zambrano, Athian N. Barron, Pablo J. Barron, Estephanie N. Ramos, Elizabeth L. Ramos, Alexia V. Visitation will be held on Monday, October 8, 2018 from 12:00 to 9:00 PM at San Benito Funeral Home.  A recitation of the Holy Rosary will begin at 7:00 PM.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, October 9, 2018 at 10:00 AM at St. Theresa Catholic Church in San Benito.  Jose will be laid to rest at San Benito Memorial Park Cemetery following the funeral mass.
