Jose Anselmo Garza
Jose Anselmo Garza, age 47, a loving husband, father, grandfather, wonderful brother and a great friend. After a long illness Joe went to be with the Lord on November 23, 2010, surrounded by his loving wife and family. Joe was born in San Benito and grew up in Lozano along with his five sisters and three brothers. He attended Rio Hondo High School. As a young man he worked as a migrant worker. He had a great passion for work. He was employed by Fed-Ex-Freight for sixteen years as a line driver.
He is survived by his loving wife of 10 years Velma Garza. Father Anselmo Garza of San Benito . Daughter Pam Garza of San Benito, son Eric Garza of San Benito. Brother Eddie (Emma) Garza of San Benito, Brother Reynaldo (Maria) Garza of Harlingen, sister Sylvia (Ruben) Cavozos of La Feria, sister Leticia ( Manuel) Castaneda of Kingsville, sister Yolanda (Jose Luis) Campos of San Benito, sister Nelda (Fred) Rendon Jr. of Harlingen, sister, Olga (Frank )Hernandez of Harlingen, Brother Enrique ( Nora) Garza of Sebastian. Granddaughter Angeline Delgado. He is preceded in death by mother Hortencia Sosa Garza and brother Israel Garza.
Visitation will be held on Friday November 26, 2010 from 2:00 to 9:00 pm at San Benito Funeral Home, with a rosary prayer service at 7:00 pm. Funeral Services will be held Saturday at 10:00 am, November 27, 2010 at St. Theresa’s Catholic Church, 1300 Combs Street San Benito. Burial will follow at Mont Meta Memorial Park.
Pallbearer are Steve Perez, Fabian Lopez, Marco Gomez, Antonio Garza, Hector Castro, Roy Pena, Javier Olivares and Brabio Garza, Jr.
Honorary Pallbearers are: Enrique Garza, Reynaldo Garza, Eddie Garza, Jose-Luis Campos.
