Andrew John (Johnny) Kutzenberger was born September 26th, 1944 in Harlingen, Texas.  He lived his whole life here and was truly a Valley native.  He went to be with his Lord on May 24th, 2015. Johnny  is survived by his wife of 46 years, Judy McNabb Kutzenberger, sons - Kyle Kutzenberger (Leslie) and Mac Kutzenberger (Danielle), four grandchildren – Keenan, Kaegan, Macie and Marlie Kutzenberger, sister – Anna Lynne Strickland.
He was preceded in death by his loving parents, Joe and Betty Kutzenberger and his brother Brian Kutzenberger.
John had a deep dedication to agriculture. He devoted much of his life to farming and the citrus industry.  He was part-owner and manager of the family business K-Y Farms.  During those years he served and held offices in Cameron County Farm Bureau, American Farm Bureau, Texas Citrus Mutual, Stuart Place Water District, and Adams Garden Irrigation District. When he stopped farming, he became a crop insurance agent and worked for Wadkins and Associates of Harlingen. His love for agriculture continued until his death as he visited daily with his farming friends.
John also had a heart for service and a strong devotion to his community.  He was a member of the 8th and Harrison Church of Christ and served as a Deacon.  He believed in the youth of today.  He officiated high school football for many years and was a member of the Southwest Football Officials Association. John worked with and held offices in the Harlingen Beef Club, North Harlingen Rotary, and one of his greatest rewards was serving as a Director of the Rio Grande Valley Livestock Show.
John was a loving husband, devoted father, and a true friend to many.  He will be greatly missed.
