John Garza, Jr.

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of John Garza Jr., lovingly known as Johnny on February 9, 2025. He peacefully departed from this world into the hands of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

Born on December 19, 1936, in Port Isabel, Texas, John Garza, Jr. was a remarkable individual who led a fulfilling life. He resided in San Benito, Texas, and was the beloved son of John Garza, Sr. and Ester Garcia. John obtained his Journeyman Plumber license on May 14, 1981, and his Master Plumber license on July 19, 1982. He worked for Central Power and light Company for 22 years and retired in September 1983 to open his own plumbing business, J & J Plumbing & Rooter Service, in San Benito.

John was a cherished father to John Garza and Sandra Garza. He shared his life and love with his devoted spouse, Juanita T. Garza. He is survived by his four grandchildren: Steven, Jade, Emily, and Alex; his daughter-in-law, Celina Garza; and his sister-in-law, Lidia Garcia.

In reflecting on his life, we remember John for the stories he would tell about his time, serving in the Army. His leisure activities included fishing, cooking, watching his favorite TV shows, and spending quality time with his family. He was a generous man who readily offered help to anyone in need and served local churches with his time and talents. His presence brought joy to those around him, and his legacy will forever remain in our hearts.

The Garza family will receive friends and family on Sunday, February 16, 2025, from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. A graveside service will take place on Monday, February 17, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. at Mont Meta Memorial Park.
