Joel Flores Sr.

Joel Flores Sr., 53, passed peacefully from this life on April 26, 2021.  He was born to the late Pablo Flores, Sr. and San Juanita Flores on August 24, 1967 in Harlingen, Texas.

Joel was a self-employed plumber by trade.  He was a Christian and a member of Trinity Gospel Church.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Pablo Sr. and San Juanita Flores, and a brother, Pablo Flores, Jr.

Left to treasure his memory is his wife, Nora Flores; children, Yolanda Flores (Frank), Yvonne Flores Cottrell (Steven), Joel Flores, Jr. (Alcina), Melissa Flores Zuniga (Matt), Melanie Flores, and Brandon Flores; grandchildren, Kyla and Kadence Cottrell, Melina and Mason Almazan, Matthew Zuniga; siblings, Josefina Lopez (Mike), Irma Salinas, Esmeralda Martinez (Joe), Raul Flores (Rosa), Arturo Flores (Isabel), Aida Castilla (Rey), Gracie Pagan (Angel), and Noemi Flores.

Visitation will take place on Monday, May 3, 2021 from 1:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at Buck Ashcraft San Benito Funeral Home.  A prayer service will begin at 7 o’clock on Monday evening.  A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, May 4, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. at Buck Ashcraft San Benito Funeral Home Chapel. Following the service, Joel will be laid to rest at Harlingen-Combes Memorial Cemetery, 20969 Sid Jones Rd., Harlingen, Texas.

Honored to serve as pallbearers are Joel Flores, Jr., Arturo Flores, Raul Flores, Brandon Flores, Paul Flores, Gabriel Flores, and Timothy Reyes.
