Joe L. Richardson

Joe L.Richardson, 90, peacefully passed away October 6, 2023 at his residence in San Benito, Texas.

He was born to Joseph and Florence Richardson on August 22, 1933. He grew up in the small town of Santa Rosa, Texas.  Joe worked for KRGV radio as well as KRGV-TV until his retirement in 2018 after 57 years of service.

He is survived by his wife, Viki, step-sons, Sean (Michelle) Smith and Stephen (Billye) Smith, step-grandson, Cody Smith, granddaughter, Nikki Smith, brother-in-laws, Lane (Beverly) Gilday and Kelly (Patti) Gilday, nieces, Barbara (Homer) Pratt and Lou Ann Richardson, nephews, Kenneth (Nancy) Richardson and Robert (Durae) Richardson.

He was preceded in death his parents, brothers, J.G. and Herman Richardson, first wife, Yvonne, son, Bill, and sister-in-law, Louise Richardson.

Graveside services only will be held at Mont Meta Memorial Park, 11:00 AM, Thursday, October 12, 2023 with the Rev. Mark Coppins officiating.
