Joann Caruso Brown, 74, passed away Saturday, August 1, 2009 at Harlingen Nursing Center.
Joann was born on January 7, 1935 in Alma, Arkansas to Charlie and Millicent Caruso. She attended Harlingen Schools and had a degree in Floristry and Flower arranging. She was a member of the 8th and Harrison Church of Christ.
Joann is survived by her husband, Raymond Brown, whom she married on September 23, 1951 in La Feria, Texas; two grandsons, Douglas Brown and Kelson Brown; two brothers, Charles R. Caruso of Bedford, Texas and Jerry T. Caruso of Portland, Texas; one sister, Charlotte Cellum of Portland, Texas; three great-grandchildren; and beloved nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and friends. She was preceded in death by son, Joe David Brown in 2007.
Graveside services only will be held at the Combes Cemetery in Combes, Texas, 9:30 AM, Tuesday, August 4, 2009 with Jake Vincent officianting.
