Jewell B. Johnson, 84, was born on the 7th of August 1928 in Dyer, Tennessee. She passed away at home on March 27, 2013.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Louwildy (Glisson) Lowrance; father, William Gideon Lowrance; six brothers and four sisters.
Jewell is survived by her husband of sixty years, Gary J. Johnson and son, Jeffery D. Johnson of Waycross, GA.
She was a loving G.I. wife that allowed her to set foot in all 50 states. Jewell also lived three years in France and two years in the Philippines and visited different countries in Europe. She was a member of the First Christian Church.
Visitation will be held Sunday, March 31, 2013 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Buck Ashcraft Funeral Home.
A graveside service will be held on Monday, April 1, 2013, 11:00 a.m., at the Rio Grande Valley State Veterans Cemetery in Mission, TX.
