Jesus “Tico” Garcia, Jr., 23, peacefully passed from this life on February 9, 2021 at CHI St. Luke’s Medical Center in Houston, Texas. He was born to Jesus Garcia, Sr. and Christina Noriega Garcia on August 27, 1997 in Harlingen, Texas.
Since his childhood, Jesus was an outstanding baseball player. As a young adult, he continued to enjoy playing and coaching baseball. He also enjoyed listening to various genres of music. He loved spending time with his family and friends, making them laugh with his unique personality.
Left to treasure Jesus’ memory are his parents, Jesus and Christina N. Garcia, Sr.; brother, Paul (Cassandra) Garcia; sister, Bianca (Rolando) Villalovos; nephews, Nathan J. Garcia, Izayiah T. Villalovos, Nolen R. Garcia; nieces, Erynn R. Villalovos, Nadalyn D. Garcia; grandmother, Clementina (Rosendo) Gonzales, grandfather, Francisco (Isabel) Noriega; great-grandmother, Ester Anguiano; and, numerous aunts and uncles. Jesus was preceded in death by Juan Garcia, “Lile” Garcia, Juan Antonio Garcia, Paulina Noriega, Francisco Noriega, Sr., Pablo Angiuano, and Pablo Anguiano, Jr.
Visitation will take place on Saturday, February 20, 2021 and Sunday, February 21, 2021 from 1:00 p.m. at Buck Ashcraft San Benito Funeral Home. There will be a Recitation of the Holy Rosary each evening beginning at 7 o’clock. (Click the link below to view the Recitation of the Holy Rosary service via live-stream.) A Committal Service and Interment will take place on Monday, February 22, 2021 at 9:00 a.m. at Mont Meta Memorial Park with Fr. Joe Villalón, Jr. officiating.
Honored to serve as pallbearers are Jesus Garcia, Sr., Paul Garcia, Guadalupe Garcia, Eusebio Guzman, Isaac Sanchez, and Brandon Valadez. Honorary pallbearers are Nathan J. Garcia, Nolen R. Garcia, Nadalyn Garcia, Izayiah T. Villalovos, and Erynn R. Villalovos.
