La Paloma, TX – Jesus Padilla, 92, of La Paloma, TX passed away Wednesday, August 29, 2012 at Valley Baptist Medical Center in Harlingen.
He was a self-employed Farmer, a deputy constable and a long time parishioner of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Catarina M. Padilla; his son, Santos M. Padilla; his daughters, Ernestina and Rosita Padilla; a grandson, Ernesto Padilla, Jr.; his parents, Antonio and Manuela Padilla; his brothers, Santos and Antonio Padilla, Jr.; a sister, Maria Ignacia P. Naranjo Garcia; a niece, Nelda P. Castillo; and a nephew, Antonio Padilla.
Jesus is survived by his children, Ernesto (Mary) Padilla, Jesus (Irene) Padilla, Jr., Eliseo ( Elvira) Padilla, Maria Guadalupe (Alex) Galvan, Armando (Janie) Padilla, Linda P. Barron, and Martina (Rene Rivas) Padilla; his siblings, Francisco Padilla, Monserrato Padilla and Guadalupe Chapa.; and many nieces, nephews, cousins.
Visitation will be held on Friday, August 31, 2012 from 10:00 A.M. to 9:00 P.M with the Holy Rosary to be prayed at 7:00 P.M. at San Benito Funeral Home.
The funeral precession will depart San Benito Funeral Home on Saturday, September 1, 2012 at 1:30 P.M. for a 2:00 P.M. Funeral Mass at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Zepeda Cemetery..
Pallbearers will be grandchildren.
