Jessie Faye Colvin

Jessie Faye Colvin, 89, passed away on June 15, 2018 in Harlingen, Texas.

She was born in Pine Bluff, Arkansas and at 18 moved to Washington, D.C. where she later met and married Edgar Colvin.  They lived in Fredericksburg, Virginia and had a son and a daughter.

Jessie worked at Mary Washington College for 22 years.  She was a lifetime member of Beta Sigma Phi sorority and was active from 1958 -2016.  Jessie loved animals, music and travel, but her favorite pastime was reading.  Her biggest love was for her family.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 52 years and her son, Doug Colvin, who both passed away in February, 1999.

Jessie is survived by her daughter, Donna Colvin Saleh; her son-in-law, Mustafa Saleh; three grandchildren, John Cornell, Stephanie Willis and Allison Barrow; and three great grandchildren.

Interment will be held in Fredericksburg, Virginia.
