Jeremiah Eudelio Lee Orta

Jeremiah Eudelio Lee Banda Orta, 28, passed into eternal life on December 14, 2017. Jeremiah was born to Armando Orta and Rhonda Roxann Banda Aguilar in Harlingen, Texas on January 1, 1989. He was a graduate of San Benito High School and Texas State Technical College-Harlingen.
Jeremiah enjoyed football, basketball, powerlifting, and track & field. He participated in the local semi-professional football league team, the San Benito Knights. He also enjoyed gambling, socializing, helping others, and making people laugh.
Left to treasure Jeremiah’s memory are his wife, Jessica Sandoval; daughter, Marissa Yzaguirre; son, Daniel Yzaguirre; parents Rhonda Aguilar (Gilbert Cruz) and Armando Orta (Mari); sisters, Sasha Aguilar, Ileana Orta, Amanda Gomez (Juan); brothers, Roy Angel Aguilar, Armando Orta, Jr.; aunt, Aleesa Banda; uncle, Jon Jon Banda; niece, Ana-Liv Gomez; cousins, John Damien Banda (Briana), Michael Banda, Nathaniel Banda, Hailey Banda; nephew, Caleb Orta, great-grandmother, Raquel Banda, and numerous uncles, aunts, cousins, and close friends.
Jeremiah was preceded in death by his grandparents, Teodoro E. and Francisca Banda, Ruperto and Elvira Orta; great-grandfather Teodoro Banda; cousin, Mark Anthony Banda.
Visitation will take place on Tuesday, December 26, 2017 from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at San Benito Funeral Home. There will be a recitation of the Holy Rosary at 7:00 p.m.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday, December 29, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Benedict Catholic Church in San Benito. Interment will follow at Las Yescas Cemetery.
Jeremiah’s family wishes to thank everyone who took the time to be there for him while he was alive and to all family and friends who gave him moral support before and after all his different times of being sick.
