Jeffrey William Correy

Jeffrey William Correy, 60, passed away on Friday, March 8, 2020 at his home in Indian Lake, TX.  He was born to Mahlon Correy and Irene Madole on June 25, 1959 in Perry, Iowa.

Jeffrey was a skilled carpenter and home builder.  As a young man, he enjoyed riding motorcycles.  He also enjoyed bicycle riding and was involved with the RAGBRAI (Register’s Annual Great Bicycle Ride Across Iowa) from its inception.  Before his passing, Jeffrey’s favorite pastime was playing cards for quarters with his mother.

Jeffrey was preceded in death by his paternal and maternal grandparents and his uncle, Don Carhill.  He is survived by his father, Mahlon Correy of LaGrange, GA, his mother, Irene Madole of Indian Lake, TX, brother, Steven Correy of Des Moines, IA, aunts Janice Correy and Norma Jean Schlarbaum of Des Moines, IA, and numerous extended family members.

In keeping with his wishes, Jeffrey’s body will be cremated and there will not be any local services.
