Jeannette, age 84, went to be with her Lord, December 25, 2007.
She was born in Edinburg, Texas.  She graduated from the Edinburg schools and then attended Business College in San Antonio.
Jeannette and her husband, “Ross”, moved to Harlingen when he opened Baker Shoe Store. She was very active in the City Council P.T.A.  She served many years as the secretary for the Harlingen Community Concert. She was employed for many years as tourist Director for the Harlingen Chamber of Commerce and worked over twenty years as a realtor with Mason and Company.
She was a member of the Harlingen First Christian Church, Does Drove No. 90 of Harlingen and Edinburg Eastern Star.
Her husband “Ross” and sister Pauline Laister preceded her in death.
Jeannette is survived by her sons, Dick (Judy) Ross of Harlingen and Charles Ross of Cancun, Mexico; grandson, Christopher Ross of Denver, CO; granddaughter, Rachel Ross of New York, NY; and great grandchildren Jones and Reagan of Denver, CO.
Visitation will be held Friday, December 28, 2007 from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. with the family receiving friends from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Buck Ashcraft Funeral Home.  Funeral services will be held at the First Christian Church, Saturday, December 29, at 10:00 a.m. with Dr. Harold Dowler and Reverend Ryan Brewer officiating.  Interment will be in Restlawn Memorial Park Cemetery.
Pallbearers are Bubby Brown, John Clancey, Frank Closner, Bill Griffin, Jim Purvis, and Jon Purvis.  Honoring pallbearers are Freddie Hampton, Harry Robert, and Seward Smith.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Memorial Fund, First Christian Church, Harlingen.
