Jeanette L. Wade, 69, entered into eternal rest on Thursday, January 20, 2011.
She was born on March 4, 1941 in Lucas, Iowa to Woodrow and Ida Stover. Mrs. Wade went to work for the Silent Re-Run after all of her kids were grown and out of the house and was employed there for over ten years. She is remembered for all her hard work and being so friendly. She made many friends at her work and at the retirement home where she lived.
Jeanette enjoyed vacationing in Iowa and made many trips to see family and friends. She also enjoyed sewing, doing things around her house and especially spending time with family and friends. She loved her family more than anything and often told her children how much she loved all of them. She took great pride in her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She once told them that she wanted to live long enough to see all for her grandkids and she did.
Jeanette is survived by her son, John Hanna of Harlingen, Texas; her daughter Chris Hanna and her spouse Rick Long of Lucas, Iowa; her daughter Beverly S. Hanna and her spouse James Lorows of Harlingen, Texas; Mike Wade and his son Michael of Syracuse, New York; her daughter Deborah Minor and her spouse Jeff Minor of San Benito, Texas; her brother Donny Stover and his spouse Shelly Stover of Arizona; her sister Joann Corpe and her spouse Mike Corpe of Oklahoma; her mother Ida Skinner and her spouse Morris Skinner of Chariton, Iowa; her former husband Don Wade and his spouse Diana Danner of Harlingen, Texas; and many aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. She was very proud grandmother of 4 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her father Woodrow Stover, her brother David Stover and her son-in-law Rick Gottschling.
A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, January 25, 2011, 10 a.m., at Buck Ashcraft Funeral Home with Pastor Harold Dailey officiating.
There is no love like a mother’s love, it is unconditional no matter what and we definitely felt that from our mom. She will be greatly missed!
